Everyone, welcome to my first post. Hopefully this will be a great beginning to future communications of what's going on in my life whether it is a major event or just the simple day to day happening that occur.
I have seen a few people do this and I think it is a great way to express yourself, let people know what is going on in your life unobtrusively and allow friends and family to stay in touch. Also, I got a new camera for Christmas and hope to use this to show each of you a piece of the world through my eyes (since I probably needed a little motivation anyway).
To catch everyone up to speed, Cristina and I attended my brother Derek's wedding last week in Shamrock, Texas. The wedding went off without much of a hitch except for a near mishap at the very end if the ceremony when I almost forgot to go and escort my mom out of the church. Fortunately, someone reminded me and I got her out the door.
After the wedding, to take a break and get ready for 2010, Cristina and I stayed in Shamrock with my parents for the week leading up to Christmas with the intention of returning home on Christmas Eve. As everyone is now aware, a significant winter storm decided to prolong our stay an additional day along due to a bit of snow and winds gusting in excess of 50 mph. Although other areas were hit harder, what we got was just enough to make the drive home on Christmas Day a little interesting.
I hope that everyone enjoys seeing this, and I appreciate your feedback on this and any future posts that you may see from me in the future.
